Supporting Gloucester and Beyond

At Your Geek Friend, we believe in giving back to our local community. We’re proud to support Gloucester’s institutions, charities, and residents, not just with expert computer repairs, but by stepping up when it matters most.

Gloucester Cathedral Christmas Eve Service Rescue

Going Above and Beyond for Our Community

On Christmas Eve, Gloucester Cathedral’s live streaming laptop failed just hours before their Midnight Mass, a service watched by many who couldn’t attend in person. We were honoured to respond to their urgent call on Christmas eve, repair their equipment, and ensure the service could be broadcast live to the community.

A Public Thank You from Gloucester Cathedral

“A huge thank you to Shaun from Your Geek Friend who came to our rescue and repaired our live streaming laptop. Shaun went above and beyond and without his help, we would not have been able to broadcast our Christmas Eve service online for people who couldn’t get here to still watch it live.”

Transcript of the Mention

“…that has only been possible this evening because of the social media post that we put out late last night when our equipment failed and Shaun Darch from Your Geek Friend in Gloucester and if you’ve got a computer to be fixed, that’s where you go, managed to come to our rescue…”
