Shaun came to the rescue when my laptop developed a fault at a critical time in my studies. He diagnosed the problem and speedily repaired it at a very reasonable price and with great communication. Recommended to use Shaun and I wasn't disappointed. From request to fix was a mere 24 hours. He was friendly, uncomplicated and easy to deal with. A fair price for the job as you are paying for technical knowledge of an independent trader and I would certainly recommend his services. Mine was a boot up issue, something I am sure is the norm for him to fix but the speed the matter was resolved was pleasing for me. I would certainly use again if I need to. I do not normally post reviews but for the service and speed it was needed to be done.

Shaun has been my go-to for any computing issues for at least 10 years now. Whenever I take a PC or laptop to him, he manages to turn it around in reasonable time for larger issues and very quickly for smaller ones. Has managed to get me up and running recently including saving information from my downed pc that was beyond economical repair.

I was nervous initially about dropping off my rig , however Shaun was superb. Gave me advice on what part would be best, repair was fast and even took time out of his schedule to support when an issue arose after retrieving my rig. Shaun puts faith back into humanity 12/10 service ⭐️

I bought a gaming computer for my 11 year olds birthday online ( i have no clue about computers) when it arrived the day of his birthday I attempted to set it up while he was at school so he could have it when back and the computer was broken, worthless present as it stood, son would of been gutted.

I found your geek friend online and went straight there at 1pm, I was picking my lad up at 3pm, I explained what happened. Shaun stopped everything else he was doing and managed to fix it in time, and not only that, he didn't even want to charge me full price for the fantasic service he did.

2 hours after just turning up at the shop door i was back round collecting my 11 years olds working gaming PC. This not only made his day but mine to, just to see the smile on his face.

Can not thank Shaun enough, please use his service, its second to non, and he is an amzing person aswell.

I have just returned home to Australia. While in the UK my new laptop power supply failed. Shaun verified the PS had failed and that he did not have the correct one in stock. His help did not stop there. He went on line and found the correct item for me at a nearby dept store. He printed out the items details complete with directions to the store. Did you notice he fixed 2 problems. The first one was my inability to access my computer. The second one was the computer not able to charge its battery.

I had a serious Windows boot issue, and entering BIOS wasn't straightforward due to multiple boot complications. I handed my laptop over to Shaun, who took the time to thoroughly inspect and troubleshoot it. Despite several initial boot fix attempts not working, his persistence and expertise shone through. He ultimately revived my old laptop by installing a fresh copy of Windows using his *own spare 1TB HDD and an additional 4GB RAM*—giving it a completely new life.

I contacted Shaun with an urgent request for help as my laptop had shut down completely and was stuck in a "boot loop." I dropped my device off and Shaun got to fixing it for me. He repaired it and now its working perfectly. If you want great service, a very understanding individual (not someone who judges for your lack of knowledge) and all a great price, then this is the place to go.

I had a Dell Desktop that had slowed to a stop. A computer shop offered an all-inclusive price but with no details of what they'd do. I returned to Google reviews, was impressed by the reviews for 'Your Geek Friend' so visited Shaun. He recommended a new solid state drive and did the necessary work. I thought the price was very reasonable. I then found that I couldn't access my inbox because I'm a computer novice. Shaun fixed this for me, and I was really grateful, but refused to accept anything for his time. More recently he's fixed another problem for me. Excellent service. I'd absolutely recommend him.

The best computer repair service in Gloucester

Shaun at Your Geek Friend Computer Repairs was invaluable from start to finish. He took the time to explain everything clearly, didn’t push any expensive fixes, and genuinely seemed to care about finding the best solution. The live tracking system was a great bonus it kept me updated every step of the way.

Honestly, it’s rare to find this level of service and honesty. If you’re in Gloucester and need your laptop or computer looked at, I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I bought a pre built PC that had cooling issues. I was able to buy a replacement cooler, but lacked the confidence to install myself. I contacted Shaun and he was up front with the cost and timeframe. I was able to pick up next day with all cooling issues resolved.

Was in the middle of building my PC when I realised I didn't have enough screws for the new parts. I contacted Shaun asking if he had any screws I could buy to finish my build, to which he put together a set of screws for me ready for me to collect 30 minutes after I messaged and free of charge. Unfortunately the laptop was not worth going ahead with the repairs based on cost and age of machine, but Shaun kept me updated through the entire process and the issue was diagnosed, gonna sell laptop as spares and put money towards a new machine. Would recommend YGF for any issues with your IT.

He resolved the issue with my laptop in 24 hours. His prices are really competitive, he's helpful, friendly and obviously knows exactly what he's doing. I was all set to buy yet another laptop, but Shaun saved me several hundred pounds.

After spilling (a lot) of water all over the keyboard of my new laptop, I got in contact with Shaun to see if he could help. He was incredibly quick at getting back to me and managed to fit me in the next day to check over my laptop. He also sent me some instructions to try and help the situation. Shaun was incredibly professional and so kind. By some miracle my laptop was okay and Shaun was able to clean the insides of my devise and check everything was okay. My laptop became corrupt after a windows update i heard good things about Shaun and thought i would try him, he sorted it by re-flashing the laptop, backed up my data, drivers then reloaded windows 10 and put data back on. I was so pleased with the work i returned with an older laptop, Shaun updated windows from 7 to 10, changed a faulty DVD drive and fitted a solid state hard drive to speed things up. All of the above for an agreeable price. I purposely left this review for a while to see how things went, yes i am more than satisfied and i would recommend Shaun and will be using him again.

This man is an absolute genius mending computers - he’s a really nice guy and he tells you honestly what’s wrong after a free appraisal then gives you a price and sticks to it! Shaun is a skilled, honest guy, who will go above and beyond for very affordable prices. He explains thoroughly what changes are likely to be made and what work was undertaken on the device, and most importantly will be 100% honest if something cannot be fixed. I had a problem with my laptop - it wouldn't boot up no matter what solutions I tried.
Having dropped it off at Shaun's he quickly diagnosed that the BIOS was corrupted. He kept me updated with what the problem was and what needed to be done. 24 hrs later I had the laptop back in perfect working order.

My son accidentally spilled Lucozade over my laptop which meant it wouldn't even turn on. I contacted a few shops but they all said the damage from the sugar would have ruined the motherboard and it was beyond repair. I wanted to at least salvage the data. I had a slow old laptop that I was thinking of throwing away and buying new. Shaun assessed it over the phone and then offered to look at it for free before advising me properly. I dropped it round to him at 5.00 pm and within a few hours he had diagnosed it and provided a couple of options with quotes. Another day and we had picked up our serviced and tuned laptop that now works like it should. A professional service with great prices.

Fantastic Service, nothing is to small for Your Geek Friend computer repairs, every time I have contacted him I get a reply back that day, and when you are ready he is ready to either sort out our problem, with you remotely or you take your computer to him, and you will get a reply back telling you what was wrong with it and when it's ready to pick up with in 24 hours of him having your computer. Have to say all the good reviews are not wrong about Shaun, professional, quick, and very good value for money. Support your local businesses and have a good and cost effective larf at the same time.
He works from home, but by god has he got a lovely set up. And most importantly you can see he enjoys what he does. I reckon the bloke has got it made ! And he deserves too as well.

I had my 2 laptops serviced by a computer guy and he had them for 2 days and charged me a ridiculous amount. 2 days later my laptops were in worse condition than begore. I had to source someone decent. Shaun was recommended to me so i trusted him to fix. Shaun sorted in 24 hours, upgraded security, removed pop ups, serviced and cleaned as good as new. Both laptops are still going strong. Highly recommended. You wont get top service like this anywhere else. Previously my 2 laptops were in the hands of another laptop repairer. Do you research first I had to take them to Shaun to undo what the previous guy has messed up. I now refer everyone i know to him. Thankyou Shaun. Really really pleased.
